Real estate is one of our core specializations as we have years of extensive experience in the sector. We conduct due diligence of title, and the perfection of title documents at the Lands registries. We negotiate, draft and review purchase agreements, deeds of assignment among other documents. Our clients in the real estate sector include property development companies.
We offer advice on general commercial matters. Our commercial law team are experienced and are members of the Chartered institute of secretaries who understand corporate governance and who provide the best advisory services to clients. We also provide company secretarial services, regulatory compliance services, formation of companies and business names, partnerships and joint ventures.
Power, Infrastructure & Projects
We have been involved in a number of PPP projects and we have on our team experienced hands who negotiate, draft and procure licenses for these projects. We have been involved in the preparation of Power Purchase Agreements and Technical Services Agreements. We recently negotiated a power project between our client Scot James Limited and its foreign technical adviser Nocart Oy on the operation and installation of a power plant using an alternative source of energy.
Banking and Finance
We advise banks and other financial institutions on varied transactions in the financial sector. We regularly review and negotiate contracts on behalf of our clients. In doing this we anticipate potential disputes and proffer legal solutions to reduce the prospect of conflicts. We also assist our clients in this sector to make searches, obtain Governors’ consent on security documents and other registerable documents at both the Federal Lands Registry and the Lagos state Lands Registry.
Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Our litigation practice is also one of our oldest specialisations, and we mostly undertake civil litigation. We advise our client on the best methods to settle disputes either through the courts or by exploring Alternative Dispute Resolution methods. Over the years, we have been involved in the adjudication of landmark cases: MKC Nigeria Ltd v. County & City Bricks Dev. Company Ltd and Suncity Properties Limited v. Gbadamosi Bandele Eletu & ors among others.

Our firm has been involved in the registration a number of technology transfer agreements at the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) between Nigerian companies and their foreign partners.
